Not a paid endorsement, personal experience!
This is the nation's (USA) first ever Hybrid Wi-Fi and Cell Service.
It is $19.99 a month Unlimited EVERYTHING with NO CONTRACTS!!!!
Here is a short video explaining a bit about the community.
My husband recently bought me a Motorola Defy XT through Republic Wireless to replace the service/phone I had which the contract would be changed and would hike the price up to $30 a month and my service for that phone had almost the bare minimum...no apps, no internet....just calls in/out and texting. That was it. We felt like that would be too much so after much research, my hubby picked this phone carrier for our family. Though I am generally the optimist in our relationship, I was VERY sceptical. I had many many MANY questions and their website was so very informative especially the community threads to which current user contribute to. Preliminary reviews we read were high and some in the techy community have even said this will change cellular service in the future because of it's competitive nature; forcing other cellular companies to lower their prices.
It has been over a month now and I have to say I LOVE MY NEW PHONE! It is so easy to use and yes...the first automatic payment just came out this week and it IS $19.99 plus tax, I think total that was taken out of the account was almost $23. Not bad for everything right? Service is right on... very dependable and I have never dropped a call because of a service issue. I also have been able to get Wi-Fi at 3 of my 4 children's schools. Which is great for time to kill in the car rider line waiting for the kids to come out. It is soooo easy to set up and the phone makes you aware when there is open wi-fi available, which is really nice.
