Chicco Polly High Chairs Recalled Due to Laceration Hazard

"Chicco Polly recalled 26 model numbers, 455,000 high chairs total, because the pegs on the back legs can cause bruising and laceration injuries. Chicco Polly has received 21 reports of incidents in which a child fell against the peg and received injuries, including four laceration injuries requiring medical closure (stitches, tape or glue) and one scratched cornea. The recalled high chairs were sold at retail stores nationwide, including Babies R Us, Burlington Coat Factory, Buy Buy Baby, Shopko and Toys R Us, as well as online outlets, from January 2005 through July 2012. Consumers should contact Chicco at (800) 807-8817 for a free peg cover kit which will be mailed to them."
